Join artist Hilary Green to relax with clay and create a small vessel full of character and a baby vessel to match :) Hilary will demonstrate the piece building hand building technique to create a base vessel shape and you can do the rest by adding texture, marks, shape and character with 2 kg of clay. The art of hand building ceramic vessels is ancient. They have the potential to hold and express character, stories or emotion. This is a workshop for you to get comfortable with hand building and expand your own style with a focus on organic form. Her emphasis will be on encouraging you to learn techniques but to just relax, play and find your own style and expressive mark making with clay. All skill levels welcome and if you have been to my Candelabra by Candlelight workshop then this is a perfect next step to try a different form. All materials and firing are included. Hilary will glaze your finished piece with your choice of three glazes. Finished work from this class will be ready approx 3 weeks after for collection. Snacks and drinks provided.
