This series, was inspired by my Nanna who has coloured my world throughout my childhood and continues to be my role model for strength and creativity. I have documented women of her generation that I have seen at public transport stops before 8am in the morning. These women seem to be waiting, going about their weekly routine and in their brief solitude they seem to be caught in the moment of contemplation. I am fascinated by how they are adorned by striking colours and patterns and yet go unnoticed in the early hours of the morning. (Above image: inspired by William Eggleston).
